Currently working towards a BA in Studio Art from Bates College, Jeremy Felton’s work tends towards functional pots designed for everyday use. An affinity for natural materials and processes informs his artistic direction, influencing his work with atmospheric and pit firing—both techniques that allow for a more natural, organic look. His work explores simple forms that create a palette for beautiful, atmospheric surfaces. At the moment, his pots can be found in various nooks and crannies around Bates, and in some local Portland Restaurants.
